After half a lifetime spent in the fashion industry and making her own clothes from the tender age of eleven, Chris Walters has developed a love of all things textile. Leaving behind the commercial fashion industry, Chris is continually developing her felting and other textiles practice to create beautiful, wearable works of art.

Her love of colour and natural fibres is a perfect fit for Chris’ chosen arts practice. Starting with relatively simple design ideas, Chris allows her work to develop and unfold until it becomes more and more complex when the final piece is revealed as a multidimensional work.

Chris’ work relies on the interplay of colours and fibres to create gorgeous, tactile but functional garments which are designed so that the wearer will feel caressed by the beautiful textures.
