Alison Bogg 0419882548 Alison Bogg trained at The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and East Sydney Technical College Dress Design Studio. Over the last 30 years, she has worked professionally for a variety of theatre, television and event companies throughout Australia, including Melbourne Theatre Company, Opera Australia, Handspan Visual Theatre, Australian Dance Theatre, ABC TV, SBS and Channel 9. Her work encompasses theatrical set/costume design, costume technology, textile arts, puppetry and arts education. It also extends to areas of specialist costume making, exemplified in her role as a technical costume designer for the opening ceremonies of The Sydney Olympics 2000 and The Asian Games 2006, where she produced large-scale sculptural costumes.

Alison has also created bespoke hand painted and art-finished costumes for touring productions of Saturday Night Fever and We Will Rock You in Australia and Japan. Her wearable artworks featured in Spinwear, a live event for the Centenary of Canberra where she created wearable art pieces using car parts and also in EFTAG Fashion Parades. Her work includes arts education, teaching Textiles/Fashion, Drama and Visual Arts. In her own studio based creative arts practice, she develops work that explores different crossovers between textile surface design, Shibori and indigo dyeing, wearable art, sculpture and painting. In 2016 she curated and coordinated the exhibition The Space Between in Moruya, which featured the work of 7 other EFTAG artists and her own artwork, and reflected on the connections that are made between the artist, artwork and audience when viewing artworks.
