Feltmaker

Felting fascinated me from the very first moment when I started out 5 years ago. It is intriguing to see how fragile layers of wool fibres turn into a malleable material. Felting is like a journey for me. I start with an idea, however, in the making process I might reconsider, influenced by how the piece shapes and folds.

My passion is to create 3-dimensional felted items and, I love bold colours. My major work has been around fun beanies and vessels. Last year I started to explore 3-dimensional structures based on an origami-inspired folding method.

My work is inspired by nature, organic structures but also by geometric shapes and tessellations.
